About the Author

Hi. My name is Alan Jordan. I’m the author of The Monster on Top of the Bed, and I thought I would answer a few questions for you.

Why did you write it?

As a way to pass on my most important values to my future grandchildren.

What makes it unique and special?

It is heartwarming, has valuable life lessons, collaborators from around the world perform it in English, Spanish and Italian, and the page-turning sounds make it easy to keep your place.

Why does it help children not be afraid of monsters?

o First, This mantra gives children something to say, something to do to give them a feeling of control when they are afraid of monsters . . . They know how to banish a monster.
o Drama keeps children interested . . .
o When the story is over children understand that monsters can be afraid of them too.

About The Monster on Top of the Bed

It’s a book that’s more than a book. Literally. There are many different ways to enjoy the story.  These include a large book, a small booklet, .mp3 files, an audio book, an e-book, a series of e-mails, and a play for children to perform.  The story allows children to banish monsters, eliminating night fear and curing bedtime fears.  It does this by the use of a mantra, and by providing a wide variety of ways for children to glean the messages and life lessons that are built into the entertaining, beautifully illustrated story.

We are constantly adding new content for parents and professionals and teachers.
