These organizations, PTAs, schools, the Rotary Foundation, and other non-profit organizations can take advantage of our many ways to raise money, including selling sponsored editions of The Monster on Top of the Bed.
Here are some of the other fund-raising ideas.
It’s a form of leveraged fund raising, meaning that they can sell the book (or various other editions one-on-one, or by:
- Running press releases to generate phone or web-based orders that are drop shipped
- Asking their members to send e-mails about the books to their friends and family in different places.
Here are some of the things non-profits can stress when selling the book.
- Parents and grandparents get tremendous pleasure when they take the time to read and use the various versions of The Monster on Top of the Bed next generation resources because:
- They have a fun book to read with their grandchild, a book that their children really enjoy
- When children learn how to banish monsters (or more accurately learn how to convert monsters into best friends) the child sleeps through the night, and so do the parents, and grandparents (if they happen to be babysitting.)
- Children enjoy:
- Comparing and contrasting the larger book with the smaller book. It’s fun to watch children discover the differences between the two versions and discuss why those differences exist.
- Sit with their tutors, parents, teachers, brothers, sisters, and volunteer readers while they read the book in English and hear it read in Spanish or Italian.
- Drawing pictures of Karrit and Suzy and submitting them to the website for possible publication.
- Using The Monster on Top of the Bed can provide much quality time with children and grandchildren at home, as opposed to going places where spending money is required.
