The bottom line is that word-of-mouth advertising (referrals) is your most profitable and prestigious way to build your practice or your business. In an era where everyone is cutting back, referrals become even more important, and The Monster on Top of the Bed can help you to get referrals. - You give a copy of the book to your patients and say something like, “The State of Nevada is discontinuing dental coverage for everything except cleaning, and many of my patients are State Employees. - Later, after the people have said that they like the book, and why, you give them additional copies suggest that they give them away to friends and family that have children as a present.

- Later, after they have said how much their children enjoyed reading the book, you provide additional copies of the book and ask them to give them to their friends who have children that might want to attend a high-quality day care center.
An Effective Way to Leverage Your Fund Raising Efforts or Build Your Business
There’s no large involvement. Use our Order Page to buy between 1 and 10 copies of various editions of the book, or the booklet and CD. Show them to people. Ask them how they would feel if you were to sponsor an edition of the book.
Better yet, order 10 copies at straight retail price, and we will customize the book to include your information. (In the future, you can buy these at a discount so you can make money.) When you show customized versions of the book to people, they won’t have to imagine your information being on the book. It will be right there. You’ll have a true reaction.
Fund Raising Examples
- You sell 100 copies of the book and make $8.00 copy, plus you give a special web page to people who buy the book. Their friends buy the book too, and you make another $1,600 without ever approaching their family and friends.
- Your club sends out press releases about your organization. These explain how you are using The Monster on Top of the Bed to raise funds. Magazines and newspapers run the releases. People buy from a special web page, by calling someone in your organization, or by calling a special (800) number. You sell 580 copies and make $10 each for a profit of $5,800.
Business Building Examples
- You give out 100 copies of the book at a cost of $1,200. As a result, you get five new orthodontic patients with revenue of $24,900.
- You give 50 copies of the book to your clients who have $1,000,000 or more of term insurance with you (or to orphan accounts.) When you follow up, you find that everyone loved the book, and you get 100 referrals that convert to $1,000,000 of whole life coverage.

A limited edition means that only so many copies will be published. Sponsored means that the back cover of the book relates the book to the goals of your organization.
Suppose, for example, that you belong to a service club, like Rotary, Kiwanis, Soroptimists, that is raising funds to promote literacy. Wouldn’t it be interesting if you could raise money by saying something like this: “This book helps children make friends, fall asleep easily at night and teaches the Golden Rule. It also comes with a CD that reads the story in three different languages. We’re so excited about it that we ordered a special limited edition for our organization. There are only 5,000 copies. When you buy this book, you’ll be promoting literacy and helping Rotary to raise money, and you’ll have a collector’s item.” As you make the presentation you point to the beautiful artwork, and show the back cover which describes Rotary and the goals of this fund raising drive.
